Monitoring systems
In CAIAG considerable attention is paid to the creation and development of geomonitoring systems. , consisting of networks of automatic permanent stations, equipped with a set of sensors of various types, a data transmission subsystem and a data collection center, where data from all stations flies.
MonSysStructure Depending on the tasks, the composition of the sensors and the configuration of the stations vary. These can be seismic, GNSS, meteo, hydro, and other sensors. For the power supply of the stations, an energy supply system is used, including solar panels, storage batteries and a special controller that controls the power and charge of the batteries. The station also includes a system of internal and external communication. Internal communication is provided via Ethernet and COM ports. To manage and control all elements of the station is a computer, usually assembled on the PC104 card, which has an external IP address for access from outside.
Communications facilities usually depend on the location of the station. If the station is located near Internet channels, an Internet access point is organized for such stations. If this type of communication is not possible, a GSM modem is installed at the station to establish a mobile data channel. In remote areas, where there is no any connection at all, satellite VSAT data transmission is organized.
The data center at the service level serves to collect data, store it in the database, pre-process and visualize the data.
The Institute performs the following types of geomonitoring:
Hydrometeorological monitoring
Seismic monitoring
GNSS monitoring
