National Consultation Mission of the Swiss Initiative “Blue Peace Central Asia 2.0” visited CAIAG
On February 6, 2025, the Central Asian Institute for Applied Geosciences (CAIAG) hosted a meeting with a delegation of the Swiss Initiative “Blue Peace Central Asia 2.0”. The event was held within the framework of preparation for the second phase of the project aimed at strengthening transboundary water cooperation and promoting sustainable development in the region.
During the meeting, Dr. Barbara Janusz-Pawletta, Head of the IWMI Regional Office for Central Asia and a Project Manager, presented its key components. The participants discussed priority areas of interaction, paying special attention to the development of strategic partnerships with national scientific and academic institutions, including CAIAG.
The delegation expressed interest in expanding cooperation with the Institute, and representatives of CAIAG confirmed their readiness to actively participate in the project implementation.
At the end of the meeting, the parties noted the importance of further cooperation and expressed confidence that joint efforts will make a significant contribution to sustainable water resources management and tackling environmental challenges in Central Asia.
