Co-Director of CAIAG Bolot Moldobekov and Head of Department "Climate, Water and Geoecology" Ryskul Usubaliev took part in the third meeting of the Regional Working Group
On December 10, 2024, the third meeting of the Regional Working Group was held in Tashkent to discuss a mutually beneficial water and energy mechanism in Central Asia. This event was held within the framework of the Green Central Asia initiative, aimed at strengthening regional cooperation in the context of climate change.
The meeting brought together representatives of the states of the region, international organizations and leading experts in the field of water and energy cooperation. The Central Asian Institute for Applied Geosciences (CAIAG) was represented by Co-Director Bolot Moldobekov and Head of Department "Climate, Water and Geoecology" Ryskul Usubaliev.
The participants discussed key steps to form a sustainable interaction mechanism that promotes joint management of water and energy resources. Particular attention was paid to issues of adaptation to changing climate conditions, the introduction of advanced technologies and increasing the efficiency of resource use.
