Co-director of the CAIAG Bolot Moldobekov took part in a live broadcast on "Birinchi radio"
Co-Director of the Central Asian Institute for Applied Geosciences (CAIAG) Bolot Moldobekov attended in live stream broadcasting program “Maaniluu Mayek” of the “Birinchi radio”. The topic of the conversation was "Sustainable Development of Mountains", where he spoke about his work at the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, held this year in Baku, Azerbaijan, and also shared the results of negotiations with international organizations.
During the conversation, special attention was paid to the topic of glaciers. The guest of the program spoke in detail about the methods of their study, the dynamics of melting, as well as the importance of this research for the region. He noted that climate change continues to have a significant impact on the state of glaciers in Central Asia, which requires joint efforts of scientists, states and international partners.

Issues related to the green economy and their implementation were also discussed. Examples of initiatives aimed at adapting to climate change and ensuring sustainable development of mountain regions were presented.
Bolot Moldobekov emphasized that the work of CAIAG plays an important role in studying and addressing environmental and social challenges facing Central Asia.
