On October 16-20, 2023, the UN Office in Almaty held series of events dedicated to climate, environment and water issues between the five countries of Central Asia.
This event was attended by the co-director of the Central Asian Institute of Applied Geosciences (CAIAG) Moldobekov Bolot Duishenalievich, scientists, experts and stakeholders.
The seminar was organized by the UNESCO Regional Office and the International Center for Water Resources and Global Change (ICWGC) with the active support of the German-Kazakh University in Almaty (GKU). These events were carried out as part of the new Central Asian Development Strategy proposed in 2020. This strategy is aimed at enhancing cross-border dialogue on climate, environment and security issues between the five Central Asian countries.
