Dr. Oliver Bens, co-director of the Central Asian Institute for Applied Geosciences (CAIAG) took part in the days of German-Kazakh science
October 12-13, 2023 Days of German-Kazakh science took place in Almaty. An event that attracted the attention of representatives of the scientific and educational communities, as well as officials. At the invitation of the delegation of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, Dr. Oliver Bens, co-director of the Central Asian Institute for Applied Geosciences (CAIAG), took part and was part of the German delegation.

Dr. Bens made a presentation showing examples of best practices in cooperation with Central Asian countries. The presentation aroused great interest and received recognition from the participants.
Particular attention was paid to various aspects of scientific research, including geological sciences, surveying, natural hazards and water resources. The discussions contributed to improved cooperation in these areas.
