"Application of Innovative Technologies in Monitoring and Forecasting Climate Change and Natural Disasters" (LoraWan)
From 24 to 28 April 2023, the Central Asian Institute for Applied Geosciences (CAIAG) in collaboration with the Kyrgyz Internet Society (ISOC) conducted a presentation seminar, roundtable: "The application of innovative technologies in monitoring and forecast of climate change and natural disasters", which focused on testing new methods of data transmission using alternative methods of data from sensors of various types.
Innovative technologies for monitoring and forecasting climate change and natural disasters were presented at the event. The event was attended by the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic (MES KR), the Hydrometeorological Service under the MES KR, representatives of Internet communities, scientists of international organizations, experts and media representatives. Students of universities (Manas Technical University, KSTU named after I.Razzakov) were invited to the presentation.
At the seminar partners from Italy presented: "Wireless technologies for Iot", "Pros and cons of LoraWan technology".
During final discussion the partners from Abdus Salam International Center for Theoretical Physics in Trieste (Italy), demonstrated a presentation on the activities that were carried out within the project on "LoRaWAN" system. Also, local and international experts had a productive and communicative work during the workshop.
