Advancing the process of developing the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) for medium- and long-term planning and implementation of adaptation measures to climate change in the Kyrgyz Republic.

UNDP organized training on climate scenarios development mechanisms (April 11-14) under the project "Promotion of the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) development process for medium- and long-term planning and implementation of adaptation measures to climate change in the Kyrgyz Republic, as part of the project "Vulnerability Assessment of the Four Priority Sectors and Development of Sectoral Adaptation Plans at National and Provincial Levels", at the Kyrgyzhydromet.

The main focus of the training was the study of climate models, atmospheric and oceanic general circulation models and prognostic scenarios, as well as air temperature and precipitation trends based on the analysis of long series of meteorological observations.
