30th anniversary of UNDP in the Kyrgyz Republic

Co-Director B. Moldobekov was invited as a guest, during which he congratulated on behalf of the CAIAG team and outlined the high importance of cooperation.
UNDP is one of the most important partners of the Central Asian Institute for Applied Geosciences (CAIAG). In cooperation, multiple and necessary results were obtained, which made a great contribution to the development of the country.
The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) celebrated the 30th anniversary of development cooperation in the Kyrgyz Republic with national partners, development partners and the international community, representatives of civil society and the media.
During the event, the long-term partnership between UNDP, the Kyrgyz Republic and its partners was noted, as well as the progress in development achieved by the Government and the people of Kyrgyzstan over the years.
30 years ago, on September 14, 1992, the Government of the newly formed Kyrgyz Republic and UNDP signed an agreement to start cooperation. UNDP Resident Representative in the Kyrgyz Republic, Ms. Louise Chamberlain, emphasized that over a thirty-year period, Kyrgyzstan has moved into a number of lower middle-income countries and implemented many reforms. Together with the country, UNDP celebrates progress in fighting poverty, women's empowerment and status, and improved citizens' access to vital public services.
