The second week of the International Summer GNSS School was held in the Soluxe hotel of Bishkek on July 2-7, 2018, organized by the Central Asian Institute for Applied Geosciences (CAIAG) and the German Research Centre for Geosciences from Potsdam (GFZ) with the financial support of the Volkswagen Foundation.
Trainers came from USA - Thomas Herring and Mason Perry from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA. Participants were from Afghanistan, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
The main goal of this Summer School is in-depth study Gamit / Globk software package in both sides – data processing and GPS-theory.
During the training, a large amount of material was covered: a theoretical basis for obtaining exact coordinates, time series and speeds, as well as solving the problems arising in this case, strategies for obtaining GNSS data were considered. Participants who successfully graduated this school were awarded certificates.
Профессор Томас Херринг, - основатель программы Gamit/Globk, Массачусетский Технологический институт (MIT),
