National seminar in Kyrgyzstan “Development of diagnostic analysis”
On May 29-30, 2024, a two-day national seminar “Development of diagnostic analysis” was held at the Central Asian Institute for Applied Geosciences (CAIAG).
The national seminar was developed based on the GEF IW:LEARN TDA/SAP methodology and is a continuation of the subregional seminar held on April 3-4, 2024 within the framework of the GEF-UNDP-UNESCO project “Strengthening the resilience of Central Asian countries by promoting regional cooperation in the field of assessment of nival glacial systems in order to develop integrated methods for sustainable development and adaptation to climate change.”
The seminar aimed to review country perspectives on the cryosphere, water resources and climate change, and identify national priorities and associated impacts to facilitate the preparation of a diagnostic situation analysis under the GEF-UNDP-UNESCO Cryosphere Project.
