XI Kazakh-Chinese international symposium "Earthquake forecast, assessment of seismic hazard and seismic risk in Central Asia"
Co-director of the Central Asian Institute of Applied Geosciences (CAIAG) Moldobekov B.D. and Professor Usupbaev Sh.E. took part in the XI Kazakh-Chinese International Symposium “Earthquake Forecast, Seismic Hazard and Seismic Risk Assessment in Central Asia”, which was held from September 26 to 28, 2023. Leading experts and scientists from different countries were invited to this symposium to discuss critical issues related to seismic safety and earthquakes in the region.
The organizers of the event were: the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Earthquake Administration of the People's Republic of China, the Earthquake Agency of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, the National Scientific Center for Seismological Observations and Research (Institute of Seismology).
The XI Kazakh-Chinese International Symposium has become an important event promoting the exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of seismic safety and long-term cooperation between countries.
