On September 5, 2023, in the village of Baytik, Alamedin district, Chui region, a working meeting was held “Reducing the vulnerability of the population in the Central Asian region from the outburst of glacial lakes in the context of climate change” within the framework of the GLOFCA project.
The meeting was held with the participation of representatives of CAIAG, the University of Zurich, the Department of Monitoring and Forecasting under the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Kyrgyz State Natural Park “Ala-Archa” under the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, UNESCO and the Heads of local government.
The purpose of the meeting is to familiarize the local population with the GLOFCA project
