U.A. Abdybachaev, a researcher at the " Geodynamics and georisks " Department, successfully completed training courses on the Integrated Risk Reduction for Central Asia/Caucasus, 2023 under the JICA program.

Under the agreement between the government of Japan and the government of the Kyrgyz Republic, signed on October 6, 2004, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) held regular training courses on integrated disaster risk reduction for the Central Asia and Caucasus region.
The Central Asia and Caucasus Integrated Disaster Risk Reduction Program (JFY 2023 ID: KCCP202208482J001) that was designed for key officials developing local management risk reduction (DRR) plans.
Emphasis was made on applying the 8-step method to prevent and limit the impact of natural disasters, and formulate a local DRR plan in a zero project to improve/strengthen the DRR system.
The main stage of the program is the selection of target components and the development of specific measures to reduce the risk of natural disasters in the selected regions. The program also focused on cities with high ceilings and the economic impact of natural disasters.
From June 16 to July 13 last year, the training courses were held online, and then, from July 18 to August 8, participants continue their studies in Japan. Program of agreement between participants from different countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus, including Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Armenia, to jointly improve the system of disaster risk management and coalition actions.
Successful passage of the researcher Abdybachaev U.A. This program has made a significant contribution to improving the ability of CAIAG to reduce the risk of infection and increase the level of knowledge in the field of disaster relief of the city/district/region using the 8-step method.
CAIAG expresses deep gratitude to the lecturers and organizers, the termination of the training courses "Integrated Disaster Risk Reduction in Central Asia and the Caucasus (JFY 2023 ID: KCCP202208482J001)" in the framework of cooperation between the Government of Japan and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic. The impact of cardiovascular disease on capacity building in this area is of long-term and significant importance for the region as a whole.
