An employee of the Central Asian Institute for Applied Geosciences (CAIAG) Kazieva Gulina took part in the Forum of Young Leaders "Russia - Central Asian Region" which was held in Omsk on November 16-19, 2021, and in the II Forum of Young Leaders of Russia and Kyrgyzstan which was held in Moscow from November 20 to 22, 2021.

Such issues as fighting against COVID-19, preserving the environment and developing comfortable urban spaces were discussed in the forum.

This event brought together more than a hundred young professionals from Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan to find solutions to the

"The first priority in terms of importance was the task of fighting against the pandemic and its consequences, the problems associated with climate change and the development of comfortable urban spaces. In each of these areas, experts and participants discussed the best practices currently being implemented in Russia and in the countries of the Central Asian region, shared their experiences and considered the prospects for international cooperation.

In particular, the decisions and proposals of the 26th UN conference on climate change in Glasgow were considered.

The impossibility of ensuring the preservation of ecosystems within the framework of the activities of only one state is a thesis that international representatives have repeatedly declared at past events, and the forum was called upon to consolidate the agreements and present a joint program for their implementation."
