Live stream broadcasting program "Tanky Burulush"of the "Birinchi radio"

Co-director of the Central-Asian Institute for Applied Geosciences (CAIAG) Bolot Moldobekov attended in live stream broadcasting program "Tanky Burulush"of the "Birinchi radio" where he shared his views with the audience and answered to questions about the environmental issues in our country within the framework of the World Leaders Summit of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, which was held in November this year in Glasgow.

He informed about the necessary measures that must be taken to implement the "Green Economy" in the country to reduce the impact of climate change and the environmental crisis. He also noted that the intensive melting of glaciers, depletion of water resources, drought, reduction of productivity in agriculture and natural disasters are the acute problems of the last few years.

According to the information, the Executive Director of The Green Climate Fund will consider the possibility of providing Kyrgyzstan with $ 1 million, as a grant. Currently, the parties will focus on expanding cooperation and implementation relevant projects, within the framework, expert and technical assistance will be provided to the beneficiaries.

Bolot Moldobekov also highlighted the need to take appropriate measures for the study of irrigation systems and infrastructure, the strengthening of the shores of agricultural lands, in the country to prevent mudflows and floods.
