CAIAG Participated in a Discussion of Project Results
On June 24, Senior Researcher at the Central Asian Institute for Applied Geosciences Andrey Podrezov and Head of the Department of Capacity Development and Scientific Cooperation Nazgul Alybaeva participated in a discussion entitled "Training and Developing Practical Skills to Support National Climate Change Goals".
Representatives of government agencies, local governments, international organizations, and educational and scientific institutions heard the results of a project implemented by the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The project was implemented to enhance the skills of state and municipal employees in the field of climate change.
The event is part of the country's commitment to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Agreement. Education is designed to promote climate change mitigation and adaptation.
Following the roundtable, participants exchanged proposals for adapting the training modules.
