A visit of the Minister of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyz Republic to CAIAG.
Mr. Boobek Ajikeev, Minister of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyz Republic visited Central Asian Institute for Applied Geosciences on November 27. During the visit, he got acquainted with the activities of the institute, scientific projects, modern methods used in Kyrgyzstan, international activities and the development of partnerships of scientific significance.
Also, Bolot Moldobekov (co-director of CAIAG) gave a presentation on the theme "Experience and practice of project implementation". Where it was mentioned that the institute uses modern methods of remote sensing, GIS in scientific research and is also equipped with its own server facilities and a developed database structure for the implementation of new geoinformation solutions. Also he introduced the minister with the implemented projects in the field of studying landslides, seismic hazards, climate change, glaciers.
It should be reminded that the MES ( Minister of Emergency Situations) is a member of the Founders Board of CAIAG.
