CAIAG presented its earthquake early warning system to Kazakh colleagues
On February 18, team from the Kazakhstan’ Seismology Institute of Deputy Director for Science Erik Elinuly, Head of the Almaty Central Seismic Observatory Zhansaya Bagdatovna Dosymbekova, Laboratory Head Beimambet Mamanovich Ashirov and Chief Geophysicist Dinmukhamed Boronbaevich Aimuratov visited the Central Asian Institute for Applied Geosciences as a part of a working trip.
CAIAG Co-Director Bolot Moldobekov briefed the guests on the institute activities.
Head of the Monitoring Systems and Data Management Department Aleksandr Zubovich presented the earthquake early warning system being developed by CAIAG.
During the talks, the parties agreed on a format for further cooperation in seismology.
