A representative from JSC VNIMI visited CAIAG: it is discussed workings in geodynamic monitoring

On January 16, 2026, Kirill Viktorovich Romanevich, Scientific Secretary of JSC VNIMI (Research Institute of Mining Geomechanics and Mine Surveying), visited the Central Asian Institute for Applied Geosciences (CAIAG).

 During the visit, the guest learned about CAIAG's activities, its main research areas and ongoing projects.

In the framework of the meeting, Kirill Romanevich presented VNIMI's workings in monitoring geodynamic processes.

In particular, the presentation included a seismic monitoring system, a thrust hazard assessment complex, and a proceedings of scientific papers by the institute's staff on modeling microseismic events, analyzing machine vibration effects, and standardizing geomechanical data.

The meeting facilitated the exchange of experiences, as well as discussion for further cooperation.
